PAWS of Hertford County is offering a Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The clinic will be held in Ahoskie at the Old Band Room 9 am - 11 am. Then the clinic will move to the Murfreesboro Fire Station 1 pm - 3 pm.
Please note the following:
* All dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers
* This clinic is only available to Hertford County, NC residents. You must be able to provide ID with current Hertford County address
* The dog or cat must be AT LEAST 4 months old to be vaccinated. Any dogs or cats younger than 4 months will be declined a vaccination
Rabies is a viral disease that affects the nervous system of mammals and can be spread from pets, and wildlife to humans. Any mammals can get rabies, therefore the state has stringent laws regarding vaccinations. The best protection is to have your pets vaccinated.
According to NC law, the owner of any dog, cat, or ferret over four months old shall keep the animal "currently" vaccinated against rabies. This particular clinic, offered by PAWS, is only open to the pets of residents of Hertford County. There is no required cost for the vaccinations, but donations are gratefully accepted. Owners will need to show ID with Hertford County Address. The vaccinations are one year vaccinations. A rabies tag and rabies vaccination certificate will be provided with each shot. All dogs must come to the site on leashes and cats must be brought to the clinic in small animal carriers.
There is no appointment time. It is a walk-in clinic but please note that we will be in different towns at different times of the day, IDs are required and pets must be on leash or in carriers. Please call PAWS at 252-642-7297 or email pawshc@gmail.com with questions.

All proceeds raised at this event will go directly to the animals in our care!
Due to COVID-19, guidelines will be in place to protect all guests. Please maintain social distancing and wear a mask when unable to distance yourself from others. Pets are allowed to attend the event, but must remain outside on the patio and on a 6 ft leash.

to help support the medical needs of cats and dogs in our care. Beginning at 12:00am on October 10th, and ending at 11:59pm on October 11th, Pearls for Pups will be donating 100% of their net proceeds from online sales to us!

It’s time to spring into action and help shelter dogs, Reid and Brownie, raise funds for their heartworm treatments. All proceeds from this auction will go directly towards their medical bills.
Thank you for your support!! Winning bidders may pick their item(s) up at Greenbrier Petsmart or at the shelter or we can have the item shipped to you in the USA, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping will be added to your total cost, as needed. Some larger or fragile items are for local pick up only, which will be noted on the item description.
To bid on an item simply comment with your email address and bid in WHOLE DOLLARS in the comments below the specific photo of the item you like. Make sure your bid is higher than the starting bid and any previous bids.
