EDUCATION
PAWS has experienced volunteers who have developed programs about pets and animal care. Our programs are age and content sensitive. PAWS believes in the empowerment of children and adults as we all work together for a better future for the animals of our county. We focus on kind and humane treatment of animals and we advocate spaying and neutering for population control. Our volunteers can present to schools, classes, businesses, organizations, or civic groups. If you are interested in hosting a program, please contact PAWS with your specific request.
"PAWS is a very loving and caring place. I had [a volunteer] in my classroom today, she was wonderful. My students really enjoyed her presentation. Thanks for the dedication to all the animals." Hertford County Educator (November, 2009)
"PAWS of Hertford County has the most dedicated people volunteering and supporting the shelter. They devote so much of their time meeting with children to teach them the importance of taking care of animals. They do an awesome job making a difference in the lives of animals and teaching children at a young age to respect animals." Hertford County Educator (November, 2009)
