We are currently in the process of beginning an adoption program for our cats called Meet Your Match. The idea is like Match.com for people and pets. The cats are color coded and we’ll help you find your color too so we can guide you to cats best suited to your lifestyle and expectations.

What is Meet Your Match?

Meet Your Match is a program of the ASPCA that allows for individuals to be matched with cat that fits their personality type and lifestyle.

How does MYM work?

Cats are tested through the MYM personality test to see what their energy level, playfulness, and desires are. The test shows how much attention a cat wants, how much a cat wants to play, how easily a cat adjusts to new environment, along with other factors. The personality test shows us the true colors of our cats so we can make accurate matches between cats and adopters.

After the test is completed, results are tallied up, and cats are given one of three colors - purple, orange, or green.   There are three personality types within each of these colors, for a total of nine different personalities a cat can be.

How do I find out what color is right for me?

We give potential adopters a one-page form to fill out which will determine what color cat matches their personality and lifestyle. To view the form that we use, please visit the link below.

Why do only some of your cats have a color and others do not?

The ASPCA recommends that only cats that are 9 months of age and older be tested. Kittens are unflappable and mostly Party Animals. Kittens are not old enough for their true personality to show through, so the test results will not be accurate. If you see an adult without a color - that means they have yet to be tested, and will have a color shortly.
