PAWS of Hertford County has adopted out or placed more than 4000 animals since August 2006. Our animals are in good homes all over northeastern North Carolina, west to Raleigh, southeast to New Bern, and as far north as Virginia, Maryland and even New Jersey. We are thrilled to receive updates and pictures from the families of these wonderful cats and dogs. "Hi! My husband and I adopted two little tiny calico kittens from you all last summer; you may remember them because one was a little special...she was missing an ear. Well, I have been wanting to stop by the shelter to tell ya'll how well they have been and how happy and grateful we are to have them but I just haven't had the time. So, now I am finally getting a chance too! The cats are absolutely wonderful they love our daughters and ofcourse the girls love them! We would be lost without them! :)" The Henderson Family
