PAWS of Hertford County has adopted out or placed more than 4000 animals since August 2006. Our animals are in good homes all over northeastern North Carolina, west to Raleigh, southeast to New Bern, and as far north as Virginia, Maryland and even New Jersey. We are thrilled to receive updates and pictures from the families of these wonderful cats and dogs. "We adopted the little guy (Casey) on 7-29 and he has been the the joy of our lives as is our big boy Golden Jackson. Casey (Laddie) is now in obience school and is doing great. He is so willing to please. He saw his first snow today and it was so funny. It was really coming down hard and Casey stood on the deck with his face upward trying to catch all the snow in his mouth. He really is a loving pup. He gets in the bed every morning to wake up Mary with very aggresive licking to her face which makes Mary laugh uncontrolaby. Hope you are all doing well."
